Manual Redaction Solution

PaperFree’s BlackMark application is a simple solution that allows users to easily redact, annotate, edit and store images onto a hard drive or computer. Images can initially be scanned using any TWAIN-compliant scanner, or they can be imported as single or multipage TIFF, BMP, JPEG, or GIF files. The original and edited images can then be saved in TIFF or PDF formats.

Easy to Use

BlackMark makes it easy to protect your private information. Redactions are applied with a user-friendly toolbar that allow for efficient and accurate removal of confidential information. Once the redactions are verified and finalized, the new file can be exported for distribution as a TIFF or PDF. The original file is also saved for later reference.

Unlimited Image Operations

BlackMark allows operators the ability to draw unlimited redactions on any given page. Existing redactions can be resized, moved or deleted and the redaction color used is customizable using Microsoft’s default color palette. Redaction opacity is also configurable. The BlackMark image viewer allows for the following image operations: Zoom In, Zoom Out, Rotate Clockwise, Rotate Counterclockwise, Fit to Window, Fit Width, Fit Height, Next (Page) and Previous (Page).

Easy and Functional Annotations

BlackMark allows operators to perform various types of image annotations on any page and features the following tools: Rectangle, Ellipse, Line, Connected Lines, Freehand, Highlighter, Embedded Image, Text, Callout, Sticky Note and Stamp.
