BlackMark+ allows you to protect confidential information from the moment it is scanned in as an electronic document. Once a document is scanned in, PaperFree uses EMC Captiva Dispatcher to automatically send your scanned information to BlackMark+. From this point, the software uses pre-defined index, text-based and/or zone based variables to locate and redact the information that needs to be protected. Once the redaction is made, the document can either be sent to an attended module for verification, or an unattended module for export and storage. Whether sent to an attended or unattended module, operators may browse to existing images to perform redaction and/or annotation at any time.
BlackMark+ provides configurable parameters for default scan and save locations, as well as default redaction/annotation save locations. These locations are defined during the software installation process, however administrators may modify the settings at any time. Administrators may also change and modify the default names that are given to all newly-scanned images.
